If you haven’t heard about Pinterest you need to get on it ASAP! It is an excellent forum that acts as a visual bookmarking site. It is a social media site that allows users to share photos on virtual bulletin boards. You are able to ‘pin’ the items you like onto your own profile that you set up so that all your resources and images you have collected on the site are easily stored in the one place.
What some people may not realise is that Pinterest contains excellent lesson and activity ideas, along with some excellent resources for Religion. For example, I found this video clip on the Parable of the Prodigal Son.
I would advise people to keep an eye on this site. It is sometimes difficult to think of creative activities to use in the classroom and creative ways to assess our pupils. Pinterest contains ideas and resources that appeals to students of all ages, learning styles, and contains activities that cater for pupils with learning difficulties.
